CHANGES

"Ahh such great food. Look! There we have the awesome appetizers on the way." The projector went on projecting the "perfect marriage" on the red walls of the 27 year old cute couple's bedroom.
"You idiot, it was your marriage too." She complained, hitting him on his head and hugging him back again.
"But the food was more attractive than you were! Aha." He naughtily winked and said.
"Oh really? Spend your night with those FOOD then. Get off the bed!" She screamed without getting angry on him.
It had been 2 years since they were living the life they imagined and dreamed of, but life changes and for them too, it changed.
Feb 13th it was, they were busy watching and enjoying their wedding videos and photos when suddenly the weather changed, a drastic change it was and suddenly it started to rain. Heavy rain poured down.
"Ah, a romantic weather, maybe just for the two of us." He said and hugged her while kissing her neck.
"Not today, I am tired and not feeling well." She said looking away from him.
He didn't complain, he just asked her to sleep and covered her with the blanket and went off to the sitting room to watch some highlights of the matches. He settled himself down on the sofa with some chips and beer. He switched on the television and then just like every other guy he was totally into the game, as if he was the main organizer of that match, the match which already aired on the television days ago without him. The sound of rain bothered him a lot as he was not able to hear the commentary and so he increased the volume to such an extent that he was not able to hear the sound of the rain nor that of his screaming wife. Yes, his wife shouted and called him, but he didn't hear a thing, as he was so much into that non-profitable match. She shouted as she was not able to sleep, but this time it was different, this time the volume of the television didn't disturb her sleep rather the pain that she was going through did. She screamed for help but nobody heard her because of the television rather because of her husband who controlled the television. A time came when she was tired of screaming and coincidentally so was her husband but he was tired from being entertained by the match. He switched off the television and was just walking up to his room when he found his wife on the floor, lying with her face red. She was not able to talk anymore, something chocked her voice, she was tired and sweating. Seeing this her husband panicked but for a change he did the right thing and called the ambulance. He kept praying all the way to the hospital and didn't leave her hand for even once and there was silence all over, just the ambulance siren kept on alarming him of the situation. He was tensed as she was not even responding to him, he cursed himself for whatever was happening. His prayers didn't stop even after they reached the hospital. They took her inside a room and to keep himself calm he called up their parents so as to inform them about the situation and her condition as well. After an hour the doctor came out of the room with his gloves dripping with blood which changed the hue of the white tiled floor. By then, the small lobby was full with both their parents. The doctor asked for her husband and within a minute life changed for them. Tears rolled down his eyes as he ran inside the room pushing the doctor and there he was, a father of a beautiful new born girl. The nurse smiled looking at him and wanted to hand him his baby but he asked her to wait and rushed towards his wife and hugged her.
"I am sorry baby I will never watch a match ever again, I am so sorry but I didn't expect this to happen, I'm sorry for whatever I did and I love you." He cried.
"Yes you didn't expect this baby in the ninth month of my pregnancy, great way to apologize." She replied in a sarcastic tone and kissed him.
"Hey, wait isn't she too young to see her mom and dad kissing in public?" He whispered in her ears while the nurse was still standing with their new born girl.
"The best Valentine's gift, baby." He whispered as she rested her head on his shoulders. It was morning by then, the whole world celebrated Valentine's day and so did they.
Sometimes life really changes for something even better than just good. :)
